Overlook Trail

Mike with his new camera on Overlook Trail.

View of Horsetooth Reservoir from Overlook Trail in Lory State Park.

We worked on plans today for kayaking the perimeter of Horsetooth Reservoir this summer. It's about 25 miles in total. We calculated that we could kayak at an average rate of 2-3 miles per hour. that would mean it would take us 8-12 hours to do the whole thing. We decided we should break it up into 3-4 days. We haven't decided how to break it up or when we will start.

Spicy. Man I love this cat.
Matt and Jana aren't took keen on holding the snake. So far it has eaten one worm. We have a fish for it, but it's not hungry yet. It was striking at us at first, but now it's very comfortable with me and Michael. It likes to curl around Michael's wristwatch. I know it can carry salmonella, and we do wash thoroughly just like when we handle our two toads.
It can really squeeze under the watch, and it flattens itself out. We better be careful not to let it have any crack to escape its enclosure.

We have a new guest staying with us for a while. She is a PhD microbiologist from Argentina. What a treat!
